2027 European Invasion – Chapter I
AMONGRUINS are taking “Advent of Chaos” on the road across Europe in 2027. The first chapter of the European Invasion tour has been announced through Theogonia Booking, with more information and the full list of dates coming soon.
The news comes right after a special anniversary for the band: on October 4, 2024 they set out on their first headline tour, three weeks on the road meeting friends and fans all over Europe. Two years later, the next journey is on its way.

Greek Melodic Death Metal force AMONGRUINS return with their most ambitious work to date; the brand-new album “Advent of Chaos”, set for release on February 20, 2026 through Theogonia Records.
Following the success of their 2023 release “Land Of The Black Sun”, AMONGRUINS continue their ascent in the international metal scene with an album that pushes their trademark blend of brutality and melody into darker and more intense territories.
Formed in 2012 as a studio project, AMONGRUINS have evolved into a commanding live act, known for their crushing riffs, intricate melodies, and emotionally charged performances. With “Advent of Chaos”, the band sharpen their sound to perfection, delivering an auditory storm of modern Melodic Death Metal where searing guitar work collides with pummelling rhythms, immersive atmospheric layers rise beneath the chaos, and the ferocious vocal delivery of Sverd.

As with their previous releases, production excellence was a cornerstone. The album was once again mixed and mastered by Saku Moilanen (Deep Noise Studios, Finland), ensuring the band’s sound remains as massive and impactful as ever.
“Advent of Chaos” will be released in digital format and a digipack edition, featuring striking new artwork by Nikos Stavridakis (VisionBlack), further enhancing the album’s immersive atmosphere.
With this release, AMONGRUINS reaffirm their place as one of the most compelling acts in the modern Melodic Death Metal scene, delivering music that resonates with both aggression and beauty; a sonic chaos that consumes and captivates.

The story so far..
AMONGRUINS are a melodic death metal band from Athens, Greece. Their sound pairs the riff-driven spirit of 90s Swedish melodeath with Finnish melancholy and the dark rawness of Greek black metal – with Sverd’s harsh vocals at its core.
The band began in 2011 as a side project of Sverd (vocals, bass), who at the time was playing in the symphonic metal band Bare Infinity. When Bare Infinity split in January 2012, AMONGRUINS became a full-time band. The name comes from two kinds of ruins: the lives left in pieces by the Greek financial and political crisis of those years, and the ancient ruins that surround the band in Athens.
Their debut album “Bring Out Your Dead” came out on 17 October 2013 through Austrian label Noisehead Records, and from 2013 on the band built its name on stage in Greece, sharing bills with acts such as Wolfheart and Sakis Tolis. Their second album, “No Light”, followed in 2016.
In 2023 they joined Theogonia Records for “Land of the Black Sun”, supported by the noir-style video for “End Of My Fall”. In October 2024 they set out on their first European headline tour: three weeks on the road, 16 shows in 9 countries. Drummer Scott Naylor joined the band in 2025.
On 20 February 2026 AMONGRUINS released their fourth album, “Advent of Chaos”, again through Theogonia Records – their darkest and most ambitious work so far, written about a chaotic period in the members’ lives and in the life of the band.
